5. Changes to courses
Occasionally, it may be necessary to make minor adjustments to course content, timing, or structure. This may include changes to collaborators or the format of delivery.
We will always seek to maintain the quality and integrity of the experience.
6. Attendance and conduct
Our courses are designed to be calm, focused and welcoming.
We ask all guests to arrive on time, be mindful of others, and follow any reasonable guidance during the day.
Asterion & Co. is shaped by five core values, which we invite all guests to share in during their time with us:
Camaraderie: We work well together, fostering warmth and the shared will to build up everyone around us.
Craftsmanship: We admire people who know their craft and take pride in the detail and beauty that we each create.
Regeneration: We enrich the people and places we engage with, putting in the effort to ensure everything is better than when we found it.
Accomplishment: We take pride in making progress and celebrate the shared satisfaction that comes with doing things well.
Integrity: We act with integrity, speak out when something isn’t right, and only work with those who treat people and the planet well.
These values are not rules, but a shared invitation to shape the tone of the day.
We reserve the right to refuse participation or ask a guest to leave if behaviour is disruptive or unsafe. In such cases, no refund will be given.
7. Health, dietary and accessibility information
Ahead of a course with us we will contact you. You are responsible for informing us in advance of:
Dietary requirements and preferences
Allergies
Medical conditions or accessibility needs relevant to your participation
Please remember to bring any standard medications that you take during the day, for example an epipen.
We will take reasonable care to accommodate these wherever possible. However, we cannot guarantee an environment free from allergens.
8. Photography and media
We may take photographs or short video recordings during courses for use across our website, journal and related materials.
All guests are asked to complete a media consent form on arrival, confirming whether they are happy to be included. We respect these preferences fully and retain a record of your choice.
If you have not given consent, we will take care to avoid including you in any imagery and may occasionally ask you to step out of frame while photographs or recordings are taken.
9. Weather and outdoor elements
Many of our courses involve time spent outdoors in the garden.
Where weather conditions are less favourable, we will make considered adjustments to ensure the day runs well. This may include working under cover, in the glasshouse, potting shed or polytunnel, adapting the schedule, or moving practical elements fully indoors.
We will always do our best to deliver a thoughtful and worthwhile experience, whatever the conditions.
10. Intellectual property
All course materials, content and teaching methods remain the intellectual property of Asterion & Co. and its collaborators.
They are provided for personal use only and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.
11. Liability
We take care to provide a safe and well-managed environment. We complete a Health & Safety assessment before each course and talk through this with guests in the morning induction.
However:
Participation is at your own risk
We are not liable for loss, damage or injury except where required by law
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence
12. Gift bookings
Where a booking is made as a gift, the purchaser is responsible for ensuring the recipient is aware of these terms and any relevant course requirements. Please inform us by email if you have bought a course as a gift - we can then adjust the booking details and get in contact with your lucky guest.
13. Privacy
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
